Elle Macpherson swears by Fish Oil

Elle Macpherson’s personal trainer revealed that Elle swears by fish oil. She believes that the omega-3 fatty acid contained in fish oil has helped her to maintain her killer figure. Fish oil reportedly can help suppress the appetite and is tauted to help the body burn fat around the waist and mid-section.

In a Times of London interview, Elle admitted to taking Rhino Horn supplements. You prepare it by dissolving the powder in water. Some deem it an anti-aging supplement. Rhino Horn is tauted to help collagen production because it has alot of keratin in it that is good for the hair skin and nails. Because Rhinos are endangered though, it is very controversial so she later retracted this one beauty tip of hers.

Elle Macpherson Skin Care

Elle has a simple skin care regimen of cleansing, exfoliating skin, then moisturizing. She also likes Dr Hauschka Cleansing Milk Facial Toner. She used Elizabeth Arden Eight hour cream before developing her own similar product called Body Silk. She has her own branded collection of body products and her absolute favorite is Bare Double Duty Cleanse and Scrub.

Elle’s favorite Cosmetic Products

Elle likes fragrances that smell like the sea and lemony, she’s loved Veviter by Guerlain for decades (it’s actually an aftershave). She recommends La Prairie Cellular Sun Cream to protect her skin, and Geurlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder for a fake tan finish. She likes NARS brand eyeliner pencil in Black Moon, and for a cheaper alternative she recommends Revlon black eyeliner.

She uses Lancome Juicy Tubes in Pamplemouse for her lips, and for a cheaper alternative try Revlon lip gloss. She likes Revlon Age Defying foundation for it’s texture and also recommends Vaishaly Cleansing balm for removing eye makeup at night.

Elle Macpherson Hair

Elle tries to let her hair go naturally lighter in the sun and she also gets highlights at the salon. Her hair takes a beating and she tries to wear a straw hat to protect it. She loves Frederic Fekkai conditioner to protect her hair. She goes for the natural, messy wavy look. For that sexy beach hair look she does not brush her hair much, instead letting it dry naturally.

Elle Macpherson Exercise

She was famously called “The Body” during her supermodel heyday. To maintain her svelte figure as she ages Elle makes exercise a part of her day. She surfs and cycles in addition to working out with a trainer. She also likes doing yoga, pilates and running.

Elle Macpherson on Beauty

Beauty really comes from within, says Elle. Elle’s basic look is to go very natural during the day and make her eyes stand out with dramatic black eyeliner at night. She keeps her nails and hair well groomed to add polish to her looks, admitting that she spends alot of time and money at the hairdressers. She drinks three liters of water a day to stay hydrated and wears big dark sunglasses to protect her eyes.

Elle believes that meditating and working to keep stress at bay can help a woman stay happy and beautiful. She also follows an organic diet and eats foods that contain healthy nutrients. Her diet is largely fruit and vegetable based. She warns that yo-yo dieting is ill-advised and can catch up with a woman’s beauty later on in life. Keep a steady weight. A few extra pounds on a womans body softens her look and can be more attractive than being super skinny.
